Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa
The Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa enjoys one of the best locations in Britian. It sits in the hills of the Berwyn mountrain range, in the midst of a 24,000 acre estate, overlooking the man-made lake, created to supply water to Liverpool in the last century. The peace, tranquillity and remarkable views that surround this unique hotel provide the perfect setting for a relaxing stay.
Built in 1890 from locally quarried stone, the hotel is full of character, retaining the traditional atmosphere of a country fishing lodge with expansive armchairs, tables and old photographs. It is a walkers paradise and many other country pursuits are on hand: classic fly fishing on the lake, game and clay shooting and bird watching to name but a few.
After a day's activity, you can enjoy the AA award winning cuisine in the Tower restaurant, then retire to your individually decorated bedroom, ready to wake up to the stunning view again in the morning. During your stay, why not visit the luxury Spa and thermal suite, which offers an 8 person spa pool, sauna, steam room, monsoon and frangrance shower, tepidarium couches, an Arabian mud chamber; plus a Techogym fitness room. Lake Vyrnwy is a resort in itself - "unforgettable for all the right reasons".
Pets are welcome £10.00 fee.

Hotel reviews
08/01/2009 (3 night stay): Had a fab stay. Had originally booked a garden view room but we were upgraded to a lake view room at no exra cost. Views from the room were fantastic. Room very large and comfortable (especially after 12 mile walk round lake). Ate in the bar area, very relaxed. Food of an excellent standard. Overall a brilliant stay. Have stayed several times before and will return again.

19/02/2010 (2 night stay): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the view was wonderful - the hotel staff (all of them were so helpful and hardworking) the food was lovely - all in all lovely couple of days.

10/04/2009 (2 night stay): The real draw of this hotel is the gorgeous location - closely followed by the food. Dinner in the tavern watching the sunset and breakfast looking out at the mountains reflected in the lake were real high points.
