Pool House
Pool House is an unashamedly luxurious all-suite hotel on the shores of Loch Ewe, in one of the most remote and beautiful locations of Wester Ross.
The original 17 bedrooms have been transformed into four luxury suites, one single and one double room. There is a two bedroom/bathroom suite The Nairana, and a residential boathouse with hot tub. This year a Chinese-themed suite will open. The Harrison daughters scour the world for antiques, nautical relics and reproductions to put in these sumptuous rooms. Bathrooms have free standing Victorian baths and large power showers; log fires burn in the sitting areas; magazines, books, fruit and flowers abound.
The indulgence continues in the dining room, whose ceiling bears a hand painted gold leaf compass. Cuisine is supervised by chef John Moir and has a modern European flavour. Inverewe Gardens are next door and Scotland’s Gulf Stream-warmed northwest coastline all round. Only one and a half hours’ drive from Inverness Airport, Pool House is the ultimate venue for a romantic, self indulgent break.

Hotel reviews
November 2011 : This small hotel is quirky in every way. It is positioned on the edge of the loch and has beautiful views and great walks nearby. The family who run this hotel were extremely friendly and made the stay special.
September 2011 : This place is the bee`s knee`s. Simple, Beautiful & well decorated. Each suite is individual and special. Our suite had the little jacuzzi around the side of the hotel, We sat in it in the rain in true scottish form. I cannot wait to go back and visit. Hopefully to spot an otter!!
May 2011 : We stayed in the Indian suite this time. Very comfortable sitting area and a great mahogany door into the bathroom. Bath not the most modern and not easy to control the shower over (there is a separate shower cubicle). The Harrisons recommend a super walk along the river Ewe towards Loch Maree. We received a telephone call at 7.35 asking how long we were going to be (we were only five minutes late!) but they are quite strict about dining times on the evening when the set five-course dinner is served.
