The Four Seasons Hotel
The Four Seasons sits in glorious countryside on the banks of Loch Earn. The hotel faces south-west down the loch, the view changing with the seasons: fresh, new colours in spring, long, light summer evenings with spectacular sunsets, morning mists in autumn and snow covered Munros in Winter. Originally built in the early 19th century for the manager of the lime kilns, the main house then became the schoolmaster’s house.
Converted in the 1900s, it has been extended over the years into the comfortable hotel it now is, with recently refurbished sitting rooms, twelve bedrooms and, in the grounds, six chalets, ideal for families, and a holiday apartment. Upstairs there is a small comfy library which has books for every taste and a collection of CDs.
The hotel has its own jetty and there is a 9-hole golf course in the village. The cuisine has earned two AA rosette dining either being in the Meall Reamhar (High Hills) Restaurant, specialising in local produce, or in the less formal Tarken room. The Four Seasons provides a wonderful base from which to explore Perthshire and the Heart of Scotland.

Very friendly attentive staff help ensure that the Four Seasons Hotel truly is a little piece of heaven on earth. Whatever the reason, whatever the season - The Four Seasons Hotel is the only one to choose.

November 2011 : Service, hospitality, location and excellent food are the key strengths. Homemade shortbread and dog biscuit for canine friends a welcoming touch. Bedroom warm with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom and will be improved when it receives the makeover treatment similar to the communal areas. Lots of good dog walks in the surrounding area and friendly villages for coffees, shops and local produce.
