Carnoustie Golf & Spa Hotel
The Carnoustie Golf & Spa hotel is celebrated as one of Scotland's finest golf destinations and was home to the 128th British Open championship. Its 75 luxury rooms and 10 suites overlook either the course, the sea or the town of Carnoustie. There are extensive spa and health facilities: pool, sauna and a fully equipped gymnasium; also a trained team of therapists on hand to recommend a pantheon of indulgent treatments.
Fine dining is available in the AA Dalhousie Restaurant, whereas less formal dining is on hand at the Calder's Bar. The Championship 18-hole course has snared even the most experienced golfer. It is considered one of the the top three courses in Scotland.
The Burnside Course has great charm and character, with many impressive short holes and the infamous 17th, reputed to be one of the hardest par fours in golf. The Buddon Links Course is a good test of accuracy and control and a good warm-up for the other courses.
Hotel guests have preferential tee times on all three courses. Caddies can be arranged and the on-site pro shop offers tuition and merchandise. For the golf widow, Glamis Castle, the birthplace and childhood home of Queen Elizabeth, the late Queen Mother, is nearby.
Handicap certificates are required to play on the Championship Course. Groups and Society meetings by arrangement.

November 2011 : If you are a golfer you simply MUST STAY HERE! The location was wonderful, close by a great beach on the North Sea which runs beside the golf course. Breakfast was included in our stay too, which was a welcome and hearty treat. Room was spacious and clean and the beds were good. Our stay at Carnoustie Golf Course Hotel was perfect for us!
November 2009 : As you will see we stayed at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel back in 2009 and we have used the Hotel for a few things in the past so was the obvious place to have our wedding as we just love the place. So thanks to you all as our day was perfect!

November 2011 : Stayed for one night for a business meeting. Excellent and efficient reception on arrival. Room and bathroom very clean. Food in the restaurant in the evening was good as was breakfast. We got an excellent deal including a 3 course meal and breakfast. Will definitely book again.
