12/12/2011 : I took my wife here for a surprise birthday treat. I booked a pamper day in the spa followed by lunch included. It was perfect, she was over the moon. Spa staff were wonderful and really spoiled both of us. It was a perfect day in a perfect location, the weather couldn't spoil the day but it did try. Thank you again.
11/12/2011 : What can I say that hasnt already been said about this exquisite hotel. We stayed in room 20 which has sensational views of Lake Windermere. The real highlight of this hotel however is the dining experience from a Michelin star chef, the food is among the finest I have ever tasted and was only rivalled by the excellent service. The location is also ideal with Windermere and Ambelside on the doorstep, would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, and can't wait to return again soon.
04/12/2011 : Whilst on holiday in Ambleside my boyfriend is a work obsessed chef and HAD to try this place out for its Michelin star! Classy, elegant and faultless are the words that spring mind, the food was to die for and was excellent value for money! Service was also amazing, attentive!
