Gibbon Bridge Hotel
Located in the beautiful Forest of Bowland, just a mile outside the village of Chipping, the Gibbon Bridge is one of Lancashire’s finest, privately owned, four star hotels. For over thirty years it was the family farm, until its conversion into a sumptuous country hotel by owner Janet Simpson and her late mother, Margaret. The hotel has continued to evolve over the years and the most recent development is a Victorian-style Orangery.
Gibbon Bridge has to be experienced to fully appreciate the unique ambience and special charm which captivates those who stay there. A roaring log fire and welcoming atmosphere lead guests to enjoy superior accommodation and surroundings; 23 acres of award winning gardens, and a wonderful restaurant with a deserved reputation for delicious food.
Additional facilities include: executive meeting rooms, private and al fresco dining, civil wedding ceremonies and receptions, tennis court and helicopter pad. The Ribble Valley is said to be a favourite of HM The Queen. For business or pleasure, the Gibbon Bridge offers a superb location and comes highly recommended.

07/06/2009 (7 night stay): We had the pleasure of holding our civil wedding and reception at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel on Sunday 7th June 2009. The staff throughout the process including Janet the owner had been simply excellent guiding us through the task of arranging our wedding. Luckily for us on the sunday afternoon the staff had even arranged the weather for us enabling us to have a breathtaking civil ceremony in the garden bandstand. The wedding breakfast that followed was a delight even the chef's amoungst our guests stated the food was simply stunning and breathtaking, the dessert being one of high points of the meal. We took the hotel on an exclusive basis which was just a perfect way to be able to spend our special day with our family and friends. All our guests have commented on how it has been one of the best weddings that they have ever attended. We would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a hotel with stunning surroundings, excellent service and food which you think has been cooked in some of the top fine dining locations in the world. Thankyou for making it our perfect day! Mr & Mrs John Iddon.

14/11/2011 : We stayed at this outstanding hotel and in years of travelling around the world I have experienced few better overnight stays. We were upgraded to a suite, and the suites were fabulous. The quality of the evening meal, was as good as anything I've ever tasted. Add to that the attentiveness of the staff, the beauty of the setting, the attention to detail throughout, I could go on and on... Just about perfect.
10/11/2011 : I held my wedding here in July this year and we had the most amazing day and would like to thank Janet and all her staff for their care and attention in making our day so wonderful. We didn't need to worry about anything, the food was delicious and all the guests loved their bedrooms. Beautiful hotel with a lovely mix of country and modern, it truly reflects Lancashire and the surrounding area. This really is a good hotel.
02/11/2011 : My husband and I stayed last weekend and were very kindly upgraded to an amazing suite with our own private garden. In our huge suite lounge we had a log burner which was lovely to light up watch a film and enjoy a bottle of wine when we arrived. Huge jacuzzi bath in bathroom, lovely and spacious bedroom. The food was excellent, really wide choice for dinner and for breakfast the owner even treated us to ducks eggs that had be laid that morning. Janet thank you for a wonderful stay and the lovely room.
