The Hoste Arms, a 17th century Coaching Inn is very much the hub of Burnham Market - one of the jewels of the North Norfolk coast, and a must-visit destination for the best shopping.
It is owned by Jeanne Whittome, the wife of the late Paul Whittome, who bought it in 1989 with the intention of restoring it to one of the finest inns in England. With her fellow directors, Emma Tagg, Andrew McPherson and Janie Thompson they have created a stylish and convivial place to meet, drink, eat and stay, with everything from the friendly and attentive service to the locally sourced seasonal and creative food being of the highest standard.

June 2011 : Have stayed both in one of the African rooms and in a traditional country bedroom at the front of the hotel, which, despite being on the front and above the dining room, was surprisingly quiet. Food is the big thing here, and I have never been disappointed. Even ‘though 30 guests all seemed to come done to breakfast at the same time, staff coped admirably….One of my favourite inns.

December 2011 : We took a weekend trip to North Norfolk and stayed at the Vine House which is part of the Hoste Arms. The accommodation was pristine….it was beautifully decorated throughout with small but comfortable rooms. We loved it. Burnham Market is a Must Visit if you’re in North Norfolk. Such a cute little market, bustling with activity. Would recommend to anybody.

December 2011 : We stayed here as a birthday treat. We arrived Friday just after lunch…..we ate both nights in the restaurant, food was excellent and service friendly….best to book…breakfast too was very good. Our room was warm and comfortable. Overall very happy, we will come back again.
