Broom Hall Country Hotel

Broom Hall is a family-run Victorian country house set in 15 acres of garden and parkland in the peaceful West Norfolk countryside.

The traditional English gardens are laid out with mixed and herbaceous borders and mature trees to provide a welcome oasis of colour and fragrance in which guests can relax. Bedrooms are spacious and airy with pretty bedspreads and most have views over the grounds. New refurbished reception rooms retain ornate moulded ceilings.

Dining is either in the informal Ivy Room (also open at lunchtime) or in the Swallowtails fine dining restaurant. There is an indoor heated swimming pool to burn off those extra calories. The whole house can be hired for a special occasion. Two of the five cheerful ground floor rooms in the converted stable block are suitable for disabled access.

The air-conditioned conference room can double as a ballroom. Broom Hall is licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships, which can accommodate approximately 70 guests.
Within easy driving distance are Sandringham and Blickling Hall. Thetford Forest Park and the trans-Norfolk Peddars Way are near at hand for the more energetic.

Open all year except December 26 - January 2

Hotel reviews

November 2011 : The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the two evening meals and two breakfasts at the hotel. Our room was of a reasonable size and the bed comfortable. We would certainly be happy to return to the hotel if we were in the area again.

May 2011 : Very friendly atmosphere. Staff always helpful. A wonderful place to relax and switch off. Excellent restaurant. Lovely gardens. Very nice conservatory. The deal we got for our three nights’ stay was very good value for money and the surrounding countryside and attractions makes the area and the hotel a place that we will visit again.

November 2011 : A delightful country house hotel in its own grounds. Smartly decorated, clean. Comfortable, good bar and much above average restaurant… all the things that make a good upmarket country house hotel.
