Wentworth Hotel

The Pritt family have been the owners of this charming Victorian hotel for over 90 years and they are continually upgrading and refurbishing it. The Wentworth Hotel is ideally situated on the sea front in the historic town of Aldeburgh, a centre for music lovers worldwide.

A new wing has just opened across the road 'Darfield House' containing another ten contemporarily furnished bedrooms and the Gallery Room, a meeting room for up to ten delagates.

The cuisine is excellent, offering local produce such as shellfish (the famous Aldeburgh sprats), fresh fish and asparagus. Bedrooms are individually decorated, many overlooking the sea.

Hotel reviews

19/02/2010 (2 night stay): Room on the back a bit small if we had been two people but quite adequate for a single traveller. Exceptional service from owner Michael who makes everyone feel at home. Fantastic sole at dinner, comfortable lounges. Mostly an older clientele who have been going back for years and years. Good chocolates to buy as a souvenir at reception.

12/07/2013 (2 night stay): Standard of the food, cleanliness and the views were excellent with no extra charge for breakfast in our room. The staff were friendly and polite. I can honestly say this is the first time I have stayed in a hotel, been able to totally relax and went home feeling refreshed. Thank you for making our weekend an enjoyable experience.

08/03/2013 (3 night stay): Truly wonderful experience from beginning to end. A very warm welcome and glorious fires in 3 of the main lounges. Friendly helpful staff and a very traditional feel to the place. Can't wait to return.
