milsoms Kesgrave Hall
Kesgrave Hall is the latest jewel in the Milsoms crown - see Maison Talbooth, The Pier at Harwich and milsoms in the Essex part of this website.
It is a former Grade II Georgian mansion which has been transformed into a contemporary dining experience backed up by 23 stylish bedrooms. When our inspector had lunch, the terrace and dining room were heaving with contented diners.
The menu is imaginative and eclectic, ranging from a tasty sandwich to fresh fish from Harwich and beef from neighbouring farms - all served cheerfully and efficiently. Bedrooms are divided into four categories: standard, superior, deluxe and 'principal'.
All are quiet and luxurious, with crisp linen and fluffy towels. Nestling in 38 acres of parkland, Kesgrave Hall is the perfect base for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast and the surrounding towns and villages as well as being a good business base - easily accessible from the A12. There are 3 private meeting / dining rooms including The Mess & The Bunker.

Hotel reviews
January 2012 : The hotel is stunning of course, very chic but retains so much of the scale and stature of the beautiful original building… the room was spacious and very nicely decorated with high end, quality furniture and in an eclectic style. The en suite was immaculate and also very large…I could not fault our time there at all and we left very happy and rather late the next day!

November 2011 : From the moment we drove along the drive and saw the beautiful grounds…and then when we set foot inside the hotel, we were treated really well….the food was excellent and the serving staff were fantastic, very discreet. The décor is a mixture of old and new. The bedroom we had on the first floor overlooked the grounds – such a pretty view. I would definitely recommend the hotel to my friends.

November 2011 : I have eaten at milsom’s Kesgrave Hall many times but never stayed until recently. What a treat! It was one of the most relaxing evenings I have had for a long time. The room was lovely and spacious, with a long bath. Thank you, we will definitely be staying again.
