The Gurnard's Head
The Gurnard’s Head sits in a splendid cliff top position.
The warm and attractive Moroccan inspired interior with its marine blues and deep sultry yellows brighten the spirits of any guest. Walls are hung with local art from this incredibly creative region, with the Tate St Ives Gallery next door and endless land and seascapes all around.
The dining room is informal, and fresh local produce forms the backbone of a straightforward, yet enticing, menu reflecting the area’s specialities: Fresh Monkfish, Crab Cannelloni and Ceviche of Sea Bass with Mango. The Gurnard’s is an ideal base from which to explore the wild scenery of this Cape Cornwall peninsula.

March 2010 : Amazing food. Beautiful location, room was simple yet spotless. Food was amazing, the chef deserves a Michelin star. Staff are excellent. Breakfast was the nicest we have ever had with local produce and homemade bread and marmalade.

March 2010 : This is a wonderful old Inn close to the coast and within a short walk of the sea. The staff are all friendly as is the atmosphere inside. The food was excellent as was the wine and although neither was particularly cheap you definitely get what you pay for.

March 2010 : NOT TO BE MISSED! Having been a tutor of Hotel and Catering Management, I have high expectations...... "The Gurnard's Head" is a delight; quality without pretence, attentiveness without intrusion
