Tides Reach is a complete gem of a hotel, set just back from the famous South Sands beach. Here you will find everything you could possibly desire for a relaxing, invigorating break in Salcombe.

The hotel has been run by the Edwards family for over forty years and their attention to each individual guest is second to none. Staff are courteous and good humoured. Whether you are in the hot tub, sauna, indoor pool, snooker room or conservatory overlooking the beach, someone is always at hand to provide a drink or a snack, or just to chat.

The food is of a very high standard with wonderfully varied choices, like fillet of Salcombe sea bass served with aubergine caviar or char-grilled wild boar cutlet with crispy air dried ham and a balsamic jus, or roast pheasant on a pink peppercorn sauce with game chips. Starters and puddings are just as spoiling.

If you can bear to venture outside the hotel, Overbecks Garden is within walking distance and the NT properties of Coleton Fishacre, Saltram, Buckland Abbey and Cotehele are just a short drive away.
