The Inn at Fossebridge
There has been an Inn at Fossebridge, in a dip on the Fosse Way between Cirencester and Northleach, for more than 300 years but never has it been so comfortable and welcoming as Robert and Liz Jenkins have now made it.
Bedrooms have been upgraded and each is named after a nearby Cotswold village - Burford, Tetbury, Moreton-in-Marsh etc. AA rosette food is served daily in the traditional rustic bar area. New head chef Matt Wardman and his team produce mouthwatering dishes.
There is a private dining/meeting room which can accommodate up to 50 and is used for Monday bridge evenings. In the grounds a charming lakeside cottage, refurbished to a similar high standard, which can accommodate 10 on a self catering basis.
The Inn's Georgian windows overlook four acres of garden and lake, which are the haunt of kingfishers, herons and swans. The Inn has become a popular wedding venue for both the ceremony and celebrations - inside for a smaller reception or a marquee in the garden for a larger one.
The Inn is well placed for visiting Cirencester, Stow and the many attractions of the Cotswolds.
You are welcome to bring your pet to the hotel, for a fee of £10.

December 2011 : My husband and I stayed for one night and firstly I must say we had a really good time the food and the warmth of the hospitality were excellent. The atmosphere in the Inn was warm and homely with the log fires and our evening meal was most enjoyable.
December 2011 : A little gem in the heart of the Cotswolds. A friendly welcome, warm rooms, a nice lounge, very 'dog friendly', very nice, if unexciting, food (superb locally smoked salmon). A wonderful 4 acres of garden & woods with a small lake (Even the pheasants & ducks are 'dog friendly'). A great centre for walking.
November 2011 : The Inn at Fossebridge is lovely place to stay. Great food, the Sunday lunch is the best I have ever had, and the women who runs the place is so helpful and friendly. It is dog friendly and the rooms are very good, and it is in easy reach for everything in the Cotswolds.
