Charingworth Manor
The ancient manor of Charingworth lies in the beautiful gently rolling Cotswold countryside and is approached by a winding drive through its own 54-acre parkland estate.
Although there has been a Manor here since the Domesday Book, the present building dates from the 14th century and has later Jacobean additions. Chevrons painted on the drawing room beams date from ca.1316.
The characterful bedrooms, all now refurbished, range from standard and superior to four posters and suites, many named after past owners of the Manor - John Barnsley, Richard Stafford and so on. Several have private terraces and gardens and views over five counties. All have flat screen TV, power showers, crisp linen sheets, bathrobes and free broadband access. The low ceilinged AA rosette John Greville Restaurant is divided by alcoves, affording privacy for that special occasion. The leisure facilities, indoor pool, sauna and gym, together with two meeting rooms, make Charingworth a Hotel for all Seasons - a memorable spot for a romantic break or business meeting. There are Historic Houses and Gardens, including Hidcote nearby as well as Stratford, Broadway and Burford.
You are welcome to bring your pet to the hotel, for a fee of £10.
