Washingborough Hall is a beautiful Georgian country house situated in four acres of landscaped gardens and woodland offering a relaxing venue away from the bustle of the city. It is situated at the heart of the village, next door to the church, having formerly been the rectory. The 12 individual bedrooms include two four-posters and are fitted out to a high standard and with the usual amenities. The Wedgwood Restaurant offers fine cuisine in tranquil surroundings overlooking the front lawns. Our dinner of scallops – fresh from Grimsby that day – and steak was excellent and was accompanied by a sensibly prices half bottle of Cote de Rhone. There are five or six choices per course. The hotel also caters for private functions, weddings, meetings and conferences in a separate room.
