High above the village of Malvern Wells, half hidden amongst hillside trees, you will find the Cottage in the Wood based in three buildings with, at the heart a former Georgian dower house, it is now a hotel of charm and character owned and run by John and Sue Pattin and family for 20 years,, enjoying stunning 30 mile views. There is a roaring log fire in winter and, in the summer months, the windows are thrown open onto the terrace and garden. The elegant dining room serves a menu essentially modern English in style, with a first class wine list completing a superb dining experience. You can walk directly from the grounds onto the Malvern Hills. By car the area from the Welsh Marches to Shakespeare's Stratford is on the doorstep whilst all around is Elgar country.
