Allington Manor is a Grade II listed Jacobean Manor House near Grantham, birthplace of Margaret Thatcher and Isaac Newton. At present it has three sumptuously done up bedrooms and is a popular venue both for weddings and for that special break in atmospheric surroundings. The dining room has two large fireplaces with suits of armour standing guard. The master Lords bedroom has a 6-ft sleigh bed and a free standing roll top bath; the Lady’s Room features a four-poster and also a free standing bath tub, with neighbouring loo and shower. Floors are connected by a fine Jacobean staircase with a grand piano on the landing. Guests could be forgiven for thinking they were the Lord and Lady of the Manor when staying here. They will certainly be well looked after. Belvoir Castle and Belton House are nearby.
