Golf Hotels in London and the South
The Old Course, Sunningdale in Surrey is rated 24th in the world by Golf World and the Wentworth in Virginia Water is hosting the BMW POGA Championships 2023 May 2010. The Pride of the Valley hotel is near to both these courses. Walton Heath course at Tamworth is rated 85th in the world. Kent has a golf course for most towns, the Littlestone at New Romney having a 9 & 18 hole course, handy for Romney Bay House. The parkland Tenterden golf course is near Little Silver hotel whereas the championship Royal Cinque Ports at Deal and the Royal St Georges at Sandwich (rated 27th in the world) are handy for guests at our Dover hotels. The London Club in Kent is due to host the European Open in 2010.
Brighton, in East Sussex, boasts six courses, most being downland. The Lansdwone Hotel in Eastbourne can arrange play at Royal Eastbourne, Eastbourne Downs and five other local courses. The links Rye Golf Course is near Rye Lodge Hotel and Flackley Ash. The undulating gorse and heather 18-hole Piltdown Golf Club near Marefield is handy for Griffin Inn guests. In West Sussex, near Chichester and The Millstream Hotel are the famous Goodwood and Selsey golf courses. The Angel Hotel, Midhurst, practically backs onto the Cowdray Park Golf Club, with its two practice grounds.

In the Isle of Wight, Seaview is the 9-hole Ventnor Golf Club (near The Hambrough Hotel). Shanklin and Sandown is the biggest courses on the island.
