Visitors to the Scole Inn will be sharing the company of both Kings and Knaves, as this 17 th century former coaching inn astride the Norfolk / Suffolk border has provided lodging for both King Charles II and to the highwayman John Belcher. All 12 bedrooms in the original building have working open fireplaces and the hotel's staircase dates from Jacobean times. The bar also boasts reputedly the two biggest fireplaces in East Anglia and stocks cask ales as well as a good selection of wines. The restaurant has over 40 dishes to choose from, ranging from local classic to contemporary European.
