An elegant Georgian rectory, set in three acres of gardens. Boutique B&B in style, the house has all the essential ingredients for a peaceful and relaxing break in the country. Open fires in the winter, breakfast in the conservatory in the summer, polished wood floors, big soft beds, Mulberry fabrics and beautifully upholstered sofas in contemporary colours. All seven bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, all are individual; one four-poster room, another in a converted coach house, one with its own private staircase and a garden cottage within the grounds. Breakfasts and dinners are made with locally sourced, mostly organic ingredients. The setting is very rural and peaceful surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt countryside.

09/10/2009 (2 night stay): The Old Rectory is a superbly beautiful hidden hotel, with lots of quintessentially English touches, genuine hosts, fabulous decor, wonderful locally sourced produce with sound provenance served at breakfast.

02/09/2010 (1 night stay): A lovely location, very warm welcome and a nice room (we stayed in the Garden Cottage). The breakfast was great with very atttentive service, good choice and lots of local produce, cooked well.

07/09/2009 (2 night stay): Like a private house, dogs lolling in the drawing room, 'honesty' bar, super garden next door to the church.... House party atmosphere with dinner (on request) guests encouraged to join up, which was fine with us as the other couple were very nice! Comfy room, small TV, good breakfast. home made jam to take away.
