ABOUT BEECHWOOD HOTEL

Beechwood won the Visit Britain Excellence in England Small Hotel of the Year award in 2003 and this has spurred the owners into opening a smart 7-bedroom extension, where all beds are four-posters or half testers and bathrooms state of the art. Cuisine is presided over by chef Steven Norgate and has been recognised by two AA AA RosetteAA Rosette. Sheringham lobster, Cromer crab, Thornham oysters and Morston mussels all feature when in season. The Beechwood used to be known as ‘The Doctor’s House’ and Agatha Christie stayed there regularly. Today it caters for discerning leisure and business travellers who wish to sample Norfolk hospitality at its best. The coast at Cromer and Mundesley is nearby as well as the Norfolk Broads and Norwich.
