Country Inns
Country Inns are quite a recent addition to Britain's accommodation scene. Not quite 'gastropubs' these hostelries are usually converted or refurbished inns or pubs, very often with young owner/managers, where the bedrooms compare well with any in hotels. They may be simpler tho' and not all have TVs. Dining is usually informal, very often with the day's 'specials' on a blackboard. Most are situated in small towns or villages, where they can be the centre of rural life.
