Famous the world over, the Cotswolds is the largest area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the country and spans 6 counties, notably Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire, as well as parts of Wiltshire, Somerset, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. Stretching from the northern gateway of Broadway to the magnificent roman town and Georgian city of Bath on the southern fringes, the rolling hills and grassland harbour traditional thatched villages, churches and stately homes. The Cotswolds is particularly famous for its distinctive honey-coloured limestone, which is what makes the towns and villages so picture-postcard perfect.
